Who are we?
FHP-Fachhochschule Potsdam is a young, dynamic university founded in 1991, one year after German Reunification, in the Federal State of Brandenburg. The multidisciplinary research team is based at the Department of Social and Educational Sciences at the FHP, where academic training for social workers is provided.
How do we matter for CoAct?
Through a strong focus on participatory research methods and Citizen Social Science, our research team has gained practical expertise in the development of innovative solutions for social concerns regarding the intersectional work of civil society actors, policy makers, administration and economy in a number of research projects. Applied research and transdisciplinary collaborations for fostering empowerment, participation and engagement among disadvantaged target groups are the main pillars of our scientific endeavour.
Our role within CoAct?
FHP will lead the work on Citizen Social Science Foundations, where the CoAct methodological framework will be built. FHP will lead the CoAct internal capacity building processes, based on mutual learning and open exchanges, as well as the Open Citizen Science Toolkit elaboration. Moreover, we will mentor the bottom-up pilot research on Gender. We will be involved in the evaluation and impact assessment of the methodological framework, the participatory research activities and the project’s dissemination, communication, and exploitation strategy.
