Last November 2023, the first Citizen Science for Health conference took place in Twente, The Netherlands. This first conference of this kind, organized by the Citizen Science for Health European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) working group was an opportunity for citizens, patients and academics to share their experiences and knowledge about a growing number of citizen science projects targeting human health.
The “CoAct for Mental Health” R&I Action was represented by two Co-Researchers and an academic researcher that together presented a showcase, a workshop and a poster. All presentations are openly accessible on the Zenodo community of the conference.
The conference, attended by more than 200 participants, was a wonderful opportunity to explain CoAct methodology and results but, above all, to revendicate the central role of the Co-Researchers and the importance and relevance of their contribution.
